FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SoftwareCEO Surveys Will Give Insight into Software Industry Spending

Software sales executives can use survey data to clarify their views on marketing and sales spending, and gain access to other software industry execs' experience.

Florence, Oregon (PRWEB) May 4, 2005 - Leading internet software portal SoftwareCEO is conducting surveys with participating site members to determine software sales executives' experience with marketing and sales spending.

The three benchmark surveys - Marketing Metrics, Operating Ratios, and Sales Metrics - are offered to SoftwareCEO's paid Site Members. Software execs are already using SoftwareCEO's Operating Ratios Survey to measure their companies' current spending against other private firms, and using this unique, proprietary data to plan their future corporate budgets.

After sufficient data has been collected, the marketing and sales benchmark surveys will provide more definitive drill-down detail about which areas of those departments work - and which don't. Software execs can view how they answered the 30+ questions in each survey, and will have access to aggregate survey data.

Respondents will be able to see online and in a Microsoft Excel download how others in the software industry answered questions such as: "How do you set software sales quotas?", "What percent of revenues do you spend on software marketing?" and, "What's the cost of a qualified lead?".

Compiled results include means and medians from the combined surveys, and are instantly updated with each new response to provide the most accurate results.

To participate, software execs simply click one of the three survey links located on the Benchmark Surveys page, accessed via the Site Services tab in SoftwareCEO's top navigation bar. Each survey takes no longer than 15 minutes to complete.
