FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

www.softwareceo.com Announces Scholarship Program Winners

Free membership allows deserving software executives to benefit from SoftwareCEO's extensive resources, Buyers' Club discounts

Florence, OR, May 3, 2004 - SoftwareCEO, a portal for software industry executives, today announced the second winner of the SoftwareCEO Scholarship. Every quarter, one free annual site membership is awarded to a member of the software community who would like to benefit from the resources on the site, but does not have the budget or resources to purchase a full membership.

Inspired by e-mails from site visitors, SoftwareCEO founder Bruce Hadley created the SoftwareCEO Scholarship program to help deserving members of the software community expand their knowledge and increase their expertise. Hadley hand-picks each winner from among the entries received each quarter.

"Our scholarship program provides a way for us to give back to the software community," says Hadley. "Although the $195 membership fee provides an excellent value for the extensive resources offered through the site, there are people who cannot afford to join, particularly overseas. Our scholarship program offers these software executives - and executives-in-training - access to resources that can help them enhance their careers and grow their companies."

This quarter's winner is Jill Barringer, Sales and Marketing Manager, MC Research, in Laindon, United Kingdom. Relatively new to the software industry, Barringer has relied on SoftwareCEO's free newsletter articles and information from the forums to obtain valuable information about subjects that she has not previously encountered. Her full membership will allow her to access the www.softwareceo.com library and downloads archives to continue her learning and to participate in valuable Buyers' Club discounts.

The first recipient was Ajit de Silva, General Manager for Technology & Project Delivery, South Asia Software Solutions, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. De Silva is an IT manager who now wears a marketing hat. He is using the knowledge gained from SoftwareCEO to improve cash flow for his employer.
