Shiman, I apologize that you have not gotten an answer to your question. I fear our moderators saw it as kind of a basic question, covering ground that we have covered here a dozen times before. Look for some similar questions, mostly in the International forum, perhaps also in Strategy.

Short answer: what's your competitive advantage? I'm a CTO in America. Why should I outsource to you rather than 10,000 other offshore firms?

Hi Charles Mills,

Your question was "what's your competitive advantage? Why should I outsource to you rather than 10,000 other offshore firms?” I have an answer for this. I am still 24 and all my fellow men are ready to work with me who are well versed and quite smart in work and intelligent. As you said there are many other firms who have already doing these, but the advantage, outsourcing to us is we will provide the better quality and on time delivery with competitive price and we are not doing this for the money instead we want to make a name like other Top Companies (Google, Oracle, Microsoft, yahoo..Etc), payment or money is Concerned only to run the firm and our livelihood.
So if we get the chance to show our talent or work ability, then we can prove that how best we are when compared to other 10,000 firms. Just Waiting for a true opportunity.

Waiting for your reply.

I have noted a few suggestions for some of the most effective ways to convey your differentiation:

Experience Â? Describe who you have worked for and how well have you met or exceeded their expectations in the form of reference accounts, case studies - If you do not have of this now, plan to build it as you grow. In the mean time you will need to convey the personal experience of you and your friends.

Expertise -- Explain what processes, qualification, etc. you have in place to assure a higher standard of quality work.

Value Â? Express how your approach offers high quality results for a reasonable price.

Risk Â? When you are new to the market you need to offer an approach that can mitigate concerns over risk Â? how can a new customer engage with you without incurring the risk of working with an Â?unknownÂ?. Satisfaction guarantees, pay-for-performance, etc.

Good luck

You've received very good advice from Tom on creating a value proposition.

The next step, is marketing effort to get some new business.

Selling services is highly "relationship" based. Having some strange in some far off land, to have confidence in you to hire you, well that is a huge leap.

So my suggestion to you in trying to develop business, is focus on building relationships.

Network with people in India who can help you.

If you want to win business in the US, open an office here to interface with your clients in the US, because that's how relationships work.

Its all about getting to know people and building your credibility.

Thanks dubicki,
I will make arrengments to have a setup in US first for client interaction so that i can build a good relationship and further have a process outsourced.

Thanks a lot for your kind advice.

even hats off to Tom.

Thanks to both of you. and please keep advising me.
