Situation: New, market ready product. Full market research. Website, QA, documentation, marketing materials available. Leading Subject Matter Expert design.

Problem: Following 2 years of design, development, QA, market prep with 30 days of sales effort realize that the sales and marketing of this product is beyond a self-funded start up. It is a B2B application focused on joint ventures particularly those in renewable energy (no competing solution), oil and gas and many others.

Potential Solution: Find B2B software companies with existing infrastructure who can move this forward. Considering doing this on a "earn in" basis. Considering royalty payments, with IP transferring once an agreed total is reached. Offering to provide pre-sales, technical support, maintenance.

Question: Is this a legitimate proposition? If so, thoughts around deal structure? Are there organizations other than existing B2B software enterprises that should be considered to move this forward (on a "earn in" basis)?
