This is my first post and look forward to contributing to future topics. I am a new startup company that has its own proprietary software offered as a Saas to customers. This software is controlled, protected and maintained on our servers where clients login to administer and manage their accounting related activities.

My questions are:

1)      What type of documents do I need to get started or provide our customers before the official agreement is reached?

2)      From a legal perspective, what licensing or agreements do I need to protect my business?
