I'm fully convinced that companies choose software based on it being cheap and the expectation that the software publisher will be here for tomorrow. They don't seem to know or understand the difference between good and bad software.

I'm wondering if companies ever consider it a good idea to worry about whether after using junk software they will be here for tomorrow?
