So you can tell me the Pantone number?
This stuff has been done. How much do you expect to make from this? Why would an ISV or OEM sell this stuff?

Hi,
I developed a ColorPicker application which will pick color anywhere from the screen and display its value in many different formats like RGB, HSV, HSL, HTML, Delphi, VB etc. and you can save these colors for future reference etc... and I am thinking about selling the source code.
I found code-sell.com an apt one; but would like to know if more sites like the above one exists.
Thanks in advance.
David,
"How much do you expect to make from this?" Honestly speaking I don't know.
Do you have any opinion in this regard? More over I am to sell the source code only and source codes will always come handy.
There are thousands of color pickers available for free download. I have three different ones on my machine. You will have a hard time finding someone to buy such a widely available tool.

Lisa,
"You will have a hard time finding someone to buy such a widely available tool"
Is that applicable in the case source-code sale too?
I believe it would be. You would have to find one particular buyer that is looking for your tool to incorporate in their software, or that wants the source code for a tool that is already widely available. It will be tough to find such a buyer.
ok Lisa Thanks.
I found a site : www.code-sell.com where coders can sell their source codes. Is there any other similar sites ?. "What if I could create a better tool ? :)"
I don't know anything about that site, but as long as you create tools that solve existing problems then you could be very successful. The secret to creating code that you can make money off of is finding a specific problem that someone has and solving it. You could also try to find work coding for a company and building your experience with creating solutions to problems.

I found http://www.angrycoder.com/source_code.aspx and some other possibilities by searching sell "source code" on Google. You could play around with my search terms. You want the site that someone finds when they search on buy "source code" ;) .
I have had success selling my source code on this site.

Have you tried http://www.sourcesale.com? It seems like exactly what you're looking for.
I found a better site that is well organized and will quickly publish your code.
http://www.binpress.com/
I found a bunch of websites for this by Googling it. A lot of them are listed above also. :-)
CEO & founder of Fusion Upload. Free file hosting, with no registration required! http://fusionupload.tk
Here's a good, new website to sell source code: http://codecreek.biz
Advantages:
- lowest commission, 7%, in comparison with binpress or others with commissions upwards of 30%.
- no exclusivity required.
I've used http://www.sellmyapplicaiton.com a few times now to sell some of my projects.
By far the best place as you'll find a huge variety of developers and investors here. They cater mostly to mobile apps, but have a good variety.
There is a new site I found who takes only 25% out of the total amount compare to other marketplace that takes around 30% and some are 50%.
Just visit http://esourcecode.com
