I couldn't agree with you more. On the same line of thinking, I've fired existing clients of mine who have turned out to be jerks. It's a hard thing to do, but in the end it turned out to be the best thing for my company. I spent too much time fighting with them and after they were gone, it was such a relief. My 'jerk-dar' is on alert, especially with clients that aren't referrals.
